Alright, this post is a little tongue in cheek, but you'll have to admit it's funny and somewhat relevant.

We all know that some of the secrets to success in a fight are to strike first and rapidly, unbalance the enemy, and deliver a well-timed kihap. Here's an example from nature.

Below we have a a medium size dog that has found himself a baby squirrel. We also have the mama squirrel who sees the danger and knows there is no time to waste.

Next we have mama going on the offensive with a surprise attack. The dog was intent on the baby and did not know what hit him.

Advantages of a surprise attack: The dog is totally caught off guard. He tries to react but the baby squirrel is making his escape.

The mama squirrel hits the dog fast and hard, and as soon as the baby is clear she gets out of there with baby in tow.

I love the expression on the dog's face: "Wha happened?" Never mess with a baby while mama is watching.

I love to come back and look at this every now and then. If that squirrel could take on that dog and survive, what could I survive if I were motivated enough? What could I achieve?
