I have always thought that if I could go anywhere in the past to any civilization at its height, with all the knowledge i possessing within my lifetime, where would I go?

Could be Babylon, Sumaria, Greece or Rome. But what would most interest me if I had only one choice I think would be ancient Egypt. To see the wonders of the Egyptian world being built and the Pharos of old. Pluss I do have a thing for the exotic woman!

Imagine what one could do during that timewith our martial arts knowledge and ability as well as all the other knowledge you have.

Yes, it would be a great adventure. Though I think you're underestimating how short and brutal people's lives were in the past. Of course, someone from the future might look back and say the same about us.

For me the adventure would come in being able to meet certain individuals. Muhammad, Jesus, the Buddha, Shakespeare, Marco Polo, ibn Battuta...

But the history, think of the history!
U are in ancient (please insert desired ancient kingdom here) with your martialarts weapons and knowledge. You have a lifetime of modern knowledge and understanding of the human body, agriculture, war and the universe.
You as an individual could always bathe regulary. There are many natural deoderants out there. Also, no every ancient society was smelly and dirty. Even the Cherokee bathed regulary and understood the importance of cleanliness to health.

Wouldn't you love to see the ancient cities, temples and symbols of the past as they were erected.!?

And bathing. Many in the past bathed very little, and stunk to high heaven.

Yea, our modern toiletries are a godsend! I would hate to use my hand or straw or something abrasive!

Hmm. I'm a web developer. Not much call for that in the past. On the other hand, I probably know more about health and sickness than any historical medicine man.

I don't know if I would be irreplaceable. But it might be fun in any case. Except for the smell - that would take some getting used to.

Just think. At the end of your life you. Are given the opportunity to travel back into the past at the age of 30, in perfect health, shape and with all your accumulated life knowledge. I don't think being a slave would be one thing you would have to be concerned with. My martial arts training and knowledge, weapons knowledge, medical and history knowledge. You could quickly make yourself irreplaceable for any kingdom.

Well, you have to consider the social and political situation in those places. You might very well be made into a slave. Unless you traveled there as a person of standing, or a wealthy merchant.

Do you think our martial arts knowledge would be superior to the fighting skills of people of those eras?
