Comment by Wael on May 22, 2011 at 8:19pm Yes, it would be a great adventure. Though I think you're underestimating how short and brutal people's lives were in the past. Of course, someone from the future might look back and say the same about us.
For me the adventure would come in being able to meet certain individuals. Muhammad, Jesus, the Buddha, Shakespeare, Marco Polo, ibn Battuta...

Comment by Wael on May 22, 2011 at 4:12pm Hmm. I'm a web developer. Not much call for that in the past. On the other hand, I probably know more about health and sickness than any historical medicine man.
I don't know if I would be irreplaceable. But it might be fun in any case. Except for the smell - that would take some getting used to.

Comment by Wael on May 20, 2011 at 10:00am Well, you have to consider the social and political situation in those places. You might very well be made into a slave. Unless you traveled there as a person of standing, or a wealthy merchant.
Do you think our martial arts knowledge would be superior to the fighting skills of people of those eras?
